Question by SINister: Who actually has a “typical family?”?
Like the families portrayed in movies as typical. With at least one grandparent. With a mother and a father married, with a good sized house, with or without siblings. Where there are no beatings.
I live in a trailer and my dad left when I was six. All my my friends have divorced parents, or have missing parents like me, or live in a tiny house. A lot of people who I’ve met have had tons of family problems. I’m starting to wonder if a typical family exists. So my question is, is there anyone here who has a typical family? What’s it like?

My parents are still together we live in a nice house and there is yelling now and then but there are no beatings. I did used to get spanked though.
But we are not typical in that my sister is transgender (she used to be my brother).
Most people i know have 2 parents but some are divorced. I know a lot with a typical family because i live in the suburbs.
Im sorry about your situation. I wish i could do something
